Police Command Personnel Badge, by 1st State Jewelry Factory (formerly Eduard),
Petrograd, c. 1919. Exceptionally rare piece in hallmarked silver from the time of
the Red Terror. EXC condition; includes original hallmarked wing nut.
Distinguished NKVD Employee badge, Type 2, #3854, 1942-1946. In fine to very fine
condition, respectable for a WW2 issue. Includes original mint-marked screw plate.
Distinguished MVD Employee Badge, Type 2 in silver, #25323, 1980s. Comes with
original storage box and factory wrapper. Highest decoration of Soviet Police and
MVD. Near mint condition.
Award Certificate for the Title and Badge of Distinguished MVD Employee, issued in February 1950 to a highly decorated MVD Colonel. In outstanding condition.
Honored State Security Employee badge, Variation 5,
unnumbered, circa mid to late 1980s issue. Unlike vast
majority of Honored KGB Badges, this exceptionally rare piece
never had a serial number. A rather scarce version in and of
itself even if serial numbered, this particular specimen is
also a textbook example: it is prominently featured in
the reference book "Cheka" by Robert Pandis (C. 2017) In
excellent condition. A truly unique opportunity for the
advanced collector of Soviet law enforcement awards.
Honored State Security Employee badge, #2836, circa late 1960s. Relatively early
version featuring wire attachment of the star and horizontal "bars" on the
reverse. In excellent condition. The highest decoration of KGB from 1957 until the
end of the Soviet Union.
Badge of Honored Employee of the Office of Public Prosecution,
1981-1991. Only approximately 1500 of these were ever awarded.

criteria for this award are unknown, it was definitely one of
the official KGB issues, probably to State Security retirees

Department of KGB, commemorative badge, 1989. Extremely
uncommon award of a regional rather than all-Union or
republican state security agency. In near mint condition.

(aka Military Unit #2013), commemorative badge issued to
servicemen, 1971. The unit stationed in Azerbaijan guarded the
Iranian border and was a part of the Trans-Caucasian Border
Guard District.
30th Anniversary of the Khichaurskiy Border Guard Unit (aka
Military Unit #2358), commemorative badge issued to
servicemen, 1980. Tasked with guarding the Turkish border,
this unit stationed in Khichauri, Georgia, was a part of the
Trans-Caucasian Border Guard District.
60th Anniversary of the Batumskiy Border Guard Unit (aka
Military Unit #2016), commemorative badge issued to
servicemen, 1982. The unit was stationed near the city of
Batumi, Georgia, as part of the Trans-Caucasian Border Guard
District.
60th Anniversary of the Northwestern Border Guard District
(KSZPO), commemorative badge for active-duty servicemen, 1978.
Features the Cruiser Avrora and border marker.
70th Anniversary of the Northwestern Border Guard District
(KSZPO), commemorative badge, 1988. Reportedly awarded to
current servicemen and former officers of the district.

Transcaucasian Border Guard District, 1968. Scarce badge in excellent condition.
60th Anniversary of the Karakala Border Guard Unit,
commemorative badge issued to servicemen, circa 1980s. Members
of this unit based in Turkmenistan often saw combat during the
Soviet occupation of the neighboring Afghanistan.
30th Anniversary of the 79th Kishinevskiy / Lower Dniester Border Guard Unit (aka Military Unit #2134), commemorative badge issued to servicemen, 1974. A very uncommon, large and ornate badge in excellent condition. The unit was formed in the wake of the German retreat during WW2. It was stationed near the city of Kishinev, the capital of Moldavia, and was a part of the Western Border Guard District.
Central Asian Border Guard District (KSAPO), commemorative badge for active-duty servicemen, circa early 1990s.
60th Anniversary of the Moskovskiy Border Guard Unit,
commemorative badge, 1992. Part of the former Soviet Central
Asian Border Guard District (KSAPO), this unit remained on the
Tajik-Afghan border following the dissolution of the USSR and
was constantly engaged in action against infiltrating Muslim
militants and narcotics smugglers. Although a post-USSR issue,
the badge is very much Soviet in its design and execution.
Central Asian Border Guard District (KSAPO), commemorative
badge (medal), circa 1970s-80s. The reverse bears inscription
"For Service in KGB Border Guards Troops of the USSR". Most
likely, it was issued to conscripts in the district upon
completing their stint.

Badge for the Development of the Pechora Coal Basin, 1940s-50s.
Unlike most other GULAG prison labor awards, this badge actually shows the "MVD"
(Ministry of the Interior) designation. In excellent condition.
Badge to a Shock Worker of Ukhta (Ударнику Ухтинцу), late
1930s. This is one of the more rare badges of the infamous
GULAG. Fabulous piece in superb condition; includes original,
functional screw plate.

the construction of the Dneproges hydroelectric dam, the

recipients were NKVD officers who supervised forced labor.

excellent condition, among the best specimens we've seen.

Workshop (ХАЮС), awarded in 1932 by the GPU State Security to the Chief of
Executive Committee of a district in Ukraine. Beautiful, rare, perfectly preserved
piece with presentation engraving.
