Raised circular logo of the Moscow Mint to the reverse of the suspension device. The ribbon is in royal blue, a traditional color of the Soviet state security and intelligence agencies.

This medal of Soviet intelligence (or more precisely, a badge according to the Soviet hierarchy of awards) was established just before the
collapse of the Soviet Union. Relatively few were ever issued, exclusively to the veterans of the service.
