Certificate for the Marshal Star and the Rank of Supreme Marshal of Air Force, with original case of issue Awarded in 1984 to Aleksandr Koldunov, the eighth highest scoring Soviet fighter ace of WW2, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, and supreme commander of the Soviet Air Defense in the late 70s through late 80s when he became a central figure in two historical debacles: the destruction of Korean Air flight 007 and Mathias Rust's landing in Red Square.

Order of the Red Banner, Type 1, Var. 2, Sub-var. 2 ("Mirror Reverse"), #981, Feb. 1937 award for the Spanish Civil War. From 1936- 37, the recipient served as an aviation technician with the 15th Ground Attack Group (flying Soviet R-5 airplanes) of the Spanish Republican Air Forces. With its extremely low serial number, the award is extraordinary in more ways than one! Fine unaltered condition, very respectable for an "Mirror Reverse" screw back. Comes with archival research.

Document for a Capture of Berlin Medal, issued in Oct. 1945 to a Guards Lt. Colonel, commander of a dispatch aviation regiment of the 3rd Guards Tank Army. The most unusual document to an aviator issued by the command of a tank army! The recipient died less than a year later while serving with the Soviet occupation army in Austria, probably due to an accident. The document is in excellent condition. It comes with copies of the award commendations for two of the recipient's wartime decorations including an Order of Alexander Nevsky.
