In excellent condition. The image shows just a tiny cluster of dark spots next to the major's jaw, a few individual ones, positioned randomly. Tilting the photo to reflect a bright light reveals a couple of equally small contact marks which are practically invisible when looking at it at a normal viewing angle. The image looks better in reality than through the merciless eye of the lens. The verso is nicely evenly age-toned and perfectly clean, the lettering and seal are crisp and perfectly legible.
