Ushakov Medal, #10660, Oct. 1945 issue to the bosun of a torpedo boat for the Soviet Blitz against Japan in Aug. 1945, He showed outstanding courage and skills in a Soviet amphibious assault on the Japanese part of Sakhalin Island. Scarce naval decoration in excellent condition. Comes with a copy of the award commendation.

Medal for Valor, Type 2 Var.1, #1817365, awarded in Jan. 1945 to artillery sergeant for action in Latvia during the previous month. He showed resolve under enemy barrage and with the fire of his howitzer suppressed a German machine-gun nest. Comes with archival research.

Medal for Valor, Type 2 Var. 3 (unnumbered Cold War version), late 1940s - early 1990s. Unlike the Combat Service Medal, Valor Medal (aka Medal for Bravery) was never issued simply for length of service. During the 1980s, quite a few of them were awarded for service in Afghanistan. In excellent condition and includes original suspension in brass.

Medal for Combat Service, Type 1, Var. 1 (with engraved serial number, small suspension and "Mondvor" screw plate), #20763, awarded in March 1942 to a Partisan Platoon Commander. In November - December 1941, when the Soviet partisan movement was still in its infancy, he led a number of bold strikes on enemy garrisons in his native Stalino (Donetsk) region of eastern Ukraine. During the Soviet general offensive in January 1942, he provided substantial support to the regular Red Army units by conducting reconnaissance in the same area and finding a route of advance for the Soviet tanks. A highly uncommon award commendation! The medal includes original Variation 1 suspension and screw plate and aside from the missing back plate, is in excellent condition. Comes with archival research.

Medal for Combat Service, Type 1 Var. 3, #234594, awarded in January 1943 to a 19- year-old Recon Scout of the 189th Tank Regiment, Don Front, for the Battle of Stalingrad. Later, he got promoted to Guards Sr. Sgt., received two more decorations for bravery, and was put in command of an armored personnel carrier. The medal is in VF condition, a well-preserved attractive example showing a great amount of character. Comes with archival research.
