Ironically, the book was published at the time when the Soviet Baltic Fleet was, to put it mildly, not very active in combat.

In excellent condition, showing mild storage wear to the cover and small corner bumps. The paper is mildly and evenly age-toned, the text and the cover graphics are bright and clear, not at all faded. The inside of the front cover has a glued paper pocket for a library registration card, for recording who and when took the book out. The oval ink stamp on the title page and in a few other places throughout the book is that of the Library of the Trade Union Commission at the Leningrad Regional Directorate of NKVD.
