Service Visor Hat of a Cadet (Officer Candidate) of a Military Medical, Veterinary Corps or Quartermaster School, dated 1969.

The crown is in olive drab wool gabardine with green band and red piping. Characteristically compact shape and smaller early-style crown. The chin strap is in oilcloth. Enlisted / NCO hat badge in anodized aluminum and paint, measuring 32 mm wide (incidentally, 1969 was the last year that this style of star would appear on Soviet EM visor hats, as it was then replaced by the larger star-and-wreath cockade.) The sweat diamond shows the logo "KV" of the Krasnyi Voin ("Red Warrior") Headgear Factory in Moscow with a 1969 date of manufacture. The liner shows Size 57 (US 7 1/

Very good to excellent condition. The hat is completely free of moth bites or tracks. The crown is very clean; the band has some faint stains in the right temple area that are not very noticeable. The visor has some scuffs to the top, not too detractive. The interior is pristine, including the sweat band, sweat diamond with factory logo, and the liner. The hat has kept its form perfectly over the years. A fairly uncommon and interesting piece!
