Order of the Badge of Honor, Type 4, Variation 2, #1326610, circa early 1980s issue.
Silver gilt, enamels; the medallion measures 50.8 mm tall (incl. eyelet), 32.5 mm wide; weighs 31.7 g not including the suspension and connecting link. The medallion is single-piece construction, with letters "CCCP" struck as part of the badge - the distinguishing feature of the Variation 2.
In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel is flawless. The letters and figures of the workers are completely free of wear detectable to the naked eye and are only a couple of microscopic contact marks that are not easy to find even under a 10x magnification. Very attractive even toning to silver on both sides. Comes on original two-layer suspension device in aluminum with a beautifully preserved old ribbon. The connecting link appears to be original and its ends are still joined with solder. Overall, a superb piece!
