The message on the verso is handwritten by Medical Corps Lieutenant Viktor Kamenetsky to his family in the blockaded Leningrad. Lt. Kamenetsky describes the few days he got to spend in Moscow before being sent to the frontlines as part of the "new ethnic unit" which would later be known as the First Polish Army under the command of Gen. Berling.
In very good to excellent condition. The obverse shows a spot of soiling on the left, and insignificant wrinkles and corner bumps to the paper. The text is perfectly clear and legible.
