Printed on thin glossy photo paper, 3 ¼" x 5 ½". The photo presents a young junior lieutenant, Artillery, in field uniform. The handwritten archival entry on the verso identifies the officer as Nikolai Ivanov (Николай Павлович Иванов). Uncommonly, Ivanov's hand signature is also present, under his name. The certification bears the seal of Military Unit # 4407 and is hand-signed by its commanding officer Sr. Lt. Rubanov.

In very good to excellent condition. The top left-hand corner has a minor crease, and there is a short rip to the left edge towards the bottom, easily repairable, if desired, with tape on the verso. The emulsion of the photo is clean and clear of any defects or wear. The seal and text on the verso are clear and perfectly legible.
