In excellent, near mint condition. The enamel is perfect, completely free of the typical flaking near the tips of the rockets or any other wear that could be found even with a 10x loupe. The raised details are likewise perfect and exceptionally crisp, including the apex and ridges of the star in the center. The factory-applied dark silver finish on the wings and anchor is pristine. The screw post is full length, approx. 9.5 mm long measured from the round retaining nut, and includes an original screw plate.

Established in 1974, this order was usually awarded to career officers of all branches, and most often for service in Afghanistan. This particular was produced in the last years of the Soviet Union's existence and most likely came from an unissued stock.
