The size is 4 ¼" x 6 ¼" including the cardboard backing, the image is 3 ¾" x 5". The photo presents a young Imperial Army serviceman, possibly an officer school cadet, and an older civilian, perhaps his relative or friend. The photo is mounted on a cardboard backing "frame" which has the studio's advertising information on the back, reading "Danilov's Affordable Photography", followed by its street address.

Very good condition. The image is in sharp focus providing a fine opportunity to examine the men's attire. Tilting the photo to reflect a bright light reveals a large number of crisscrossing hair-thin scratches, not reaching all the way through the emulsion to the paper and virtually invisible when looking at the photo at a normal viewing angle. It also reveals areas of mild scuffing which are indeed somewhat visible. None of the wear is too intrusive to the eye, and is not very obvious.
