Measures 4" x 6" with the cardboard backing, the image size is 4" x 5". The photo presents two pre-WW1 Russian Army NCOs in field uniform. The one on the right is wearing a belt with a brass buckle with double-headed eagle, the State Emblem of the Russian Empire. The photo is professionally mounted onto a cardboard backing "frame" with the words "Cabinet Portrait" embossed at the bottom, in gold.

In good condition. The backing has acquired two creases which are visible on the obverse of the image. Tilting the photo to reflect a bright light reveals mild to moderate staining and soiling on the surface of the photo. However, this wear is not too intrusive to the eye because it is practically invisible when looking at the photo at a normal viewing angle. The cardboard backing shows moderate wear, mostly to the edges and corners.
