As certified on the verso, the photo presents the Komsomol organizer of the 23rd Separate Local Rifle Battalion (a military unit for protecting the rear), in uniform with the pips of a deputy political officer on the collar tabs. Unfortunately, the handwriting of the certifying officer is a little too flowing to be sure we read the last name of the Sergeant Major correctly. It looks like Игумнов (Igumnov).

In excellent condition. The image is in sharp focus, providing a great opportunity to visually examine every detail, with even the stitching on the uniform is clearly visible through a magnifying glass.
