Medal in Commemoration of the 300th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty, State Mint version, 1913-1914 issue.
In brass, measures 33.4 mm in height incl. eyelet, 28.3 mm in width; weighs 13.8 g. Unlike the vast majority of the Romanov Tercentenary medals issued in 1913 and the following couple of years, this piece is the official State Mint issue.
In very fine condition. There is mild wear to the high points of the artwork. The raised details of the bas-relief portraits are however well-preserved overall and the lettering on reverse remains crisp. There are no edge knocks or significant scratches. The toning to the brass is uniform and attractive; some of the original mint luster is still present in recessed areas of the portraits.
The medal comes with a modern Romanov ribbon mounted on a Soviet-era suspension device. The connecting link is also a replacement.
