Engineering Institute (higher level college) Graduate Badge, circa 1970s.
Brass, enamels; 47.8 x 26.2 mm. This version of the badge features the state emblem attached by a rivet, while the engineering emblem of crossed hammer & wrench is held by wires. There is a late-style raised logo of the Leningrad Mint on the reverse.
In excellent condition. The screw post is full length and includes the original screw plate with the Leningrad Mint logo.
This is a standard badge that was issued to graduates of most Soviet "technical" institutes (higher level colleges) preparing engineering cadres for various industries including machine building, railroad transportation, mining, etc.
