Lenin's bust in glazed porcelain, circa 1960s-70s.
This
large, 10" tall piece of very high quality was made by a
factory in Socialist Hungary. In outstanding condition.
Lenin's bust in glazed porcelain, circa 1960s-70s.
Large and impressive piece measuring 10" tall, approx. 8.5" wide at shoulders. The base of the plinth is 4"x4".
No maker marks, but the bust was definitely made by a factory in Hungary when the country was a part of the Soviet-dominated Eastern Bloc. This is a very high quality piece, and also one of the less common portrayals showing Lenin wearing his trademark visor cap (Lenin is more often shown wearing it in full standing statuettes but rarely busts).
The bust is in outstanding, excellent condition. There are no chips, stains, or scuffs to the glaze. The lower edge of the plinth has a couple of faint spots that are probably manufacturing flaws and almost unnoticeable at any rate.
