Military Merit Medal, Type 4 Variation 2, circa 1950s.
In solid silver, measures 37.3 mm in height incl. the ornate eyelet, 32.9 mm in width; weighs 17.0 g (not including the suspension). This Soviet-made type features solid silver construction and far better details than most other issues. Unlike all other versions, the eyelet is "stepped back" as opposed to being flush with the rest of the reverse.
In excellent condition, with beautifully preserved, crisp details. There are no noticeable dings, scratches or edge bumps. The ribbon shows only a very minor amount of soiling, still attractive and sound.
