Soviet Naval Binoculars, 7x50 magnification, dated 1939.

This model has an upper light window above the left eyepiece, but does not - and is not supposed to - have a reticle grid, even though, as far as we know, the purpose of the light window is, usually, to make the crosshairs of the reticles visible. The body is clearly marked on the left prism housing with the hammer and sickle manufacturer's mark, the numeral 810, and the year 1939. Comes with a hard leather case of later manufacture, circa 1950s-60s.

The binoculars are in perfect working order: the optics are clear, diopter rings move fine and do their job. The body is in very goo

The binoculars are in perfect working order: the optics are clear, diopter rings move fine and do their job. The body is in very good to excellent condition. The black coating on the body shows some scuffs, none of which reach through to the metal. The case is also very well preserved, showing just minor scuffs to the edges on the lid and the bottom. The rubber band of the latch is strong, and the latch works fine.

This is a truly rare find, considering how few naval binoculars were manufactured compared to binoculars for land forces, and in perfect working order.
