However, all the wear can be noticed only when tilting the photo to reflect a bright light but is practically invisible when looking at it at a normal viewing angle. The verso is evenly age-toned. The image is in sharp focus providing an excellent opportunity to have a close look at the details of the sailors' uniforms and hats.
