Military Archival Photo of Guards Lieutenant Colonel M. Kalmykov (М.С. Калмыков), 1948 - mid-50s.

3 ½" x 5", printed on semi-gloss photo paper. The photo presents a Red Army Guards Lieutenant Colonel in the "victory parade" dress uniform, wearing an Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War, Order of the Red Banner, five medals including Medal for Capture of Berlin, and a Guards badge.

The archival entry on the verso identifies the officer as Lt. Col. M. Kalmykov. The bottom part of the stamp is only partly legible. The legible parts suggest Frunze Military Academy. The handwritten inscription below says "Course "A", 3rd year, Lt. Col. Kalmykov", supporting

In excellent, outstanding condition. The paper is barely wrinkled; the image is in exceptionally sharp focus providing a great opportunity to have a good close look at the uniform, shoulder boards, and decorations with a magnifying glass.
