In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel is literally perfect: not only is it completely free of wear visible to the naked eye, but also has none of even the tiniest contact marks or hairlines that could be found with a 10x loupe. The enamel on both the banner and star shows a magnificent luster. The center medallion is likewise pristine; its details are perfect and exceptionally crisp. Some of the fragile original gilt finish is still visible on the starburst. The rivets are perfectly tight.

Comes on original suspension device, a two-layer model in aluminum. The old, probably original ribbon shows just minimal wear, still sound and clean. The connecting link appears to be original, and its ends are still joined with solder in a seamless manner characteristic of the Soviet mint. Overall, this piece is a truly superb example of the second-highest Soviet decoration - practically impossible to upgrade condition-wise.
