The verso contains the soldier's message, written in Georgian script, in purple ink and dated 23 May 1944.

The postcard is in very good condition, showing only mild wear to the paper and corners. The old and long-since-then flattened-out fold lines are barely visible, and only on the obverse. None of the wear is very detractive. If anything, it underscores the air of authenticity and age of the postcard.
