Each figurine stands a little over 4" tall, the base is 1 ˝" square. A charming period piece of artwork from the mid-XX C. era when a row of identical porcelain or marble figurines on a mantlepiece or a shelf was a very popular detail of interior décor. Maker marked on the bottom. This version of the logo of the Riga Porcelain and Faience Factory, partially seen on the bottom of one of the figurines, was in use from 1946 to 1964 (fig. # 618/619 in Volume One of Marks on Soviet Porcelain, Faience, and Majolica, 1917-1991 by Nasonova et al). In excellent condition. The tiny scuff on the right temple of one of the bears is the only item of wear we were able to find, and that more by touch than visually.
