The reverse has a bit more wear than the obverse, some small contact marks and light scratches, but the raised lettering is still very nicely defined. There is a very attractive toning to the brass on both sides with a very minimal amount of tarnish around the lettering.

The medal comes on an original suspension, a WW2 two-layer model in steel with self-locking pin. The old, possibly original ribbon is perfectly sound and very clean. The connecting link appears to be original; its ends are still joined with solder. Overall, a very nice example of the Stalingrad medal showing a lot of character while being free of significant flaws.
