Unlike many other similar helmets stored in a typical uninsulated Soviet warehouse, this piece does not have any rust on the steel grommets and buckles; the protective nickel finish is perfect. Nor is there any of the usual mildew or musty odor. An all-around superb piece, impossible to upgrade and very hard to find in such a perfect condition.
