In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel shows beautiful luster and is completely free of the usual chips, flaking, or rubbing. There are only a few microscopic contact marks that are completely unnoticeable to the naked eye. The raised details of the locomotive are pristine and exceptionally crisp. The bronze finish is perfect. The nickel finish is perfect on the reverse of the badge and has only minimal wear on the cogwheel. The screw post is full length, approx. 14 mm long. Includes the original early-style screw plate in bronze-plated steel maker- marked "ShMZ-d MPS" ("Mechanical Stamping Factory, Ministry of Railroad Transportation"). Overall, this is an uncommonly nice example of a relatively common badge.
