In excellent condition. The image is a little lacking in contrast, but is in sharp enough focus to provide an excellent opportunity to see the details of the NCO's uniform, the lady's attire, and their footwear, typical period garments and shoes. A tiniest amount of scuffing becomes noticeable when the photo is tilted to reflect a bright light but this wear is invisible when looking at the photo at a normal viewing angle.

Uncommonly, the cardboard backing is missing all the typical period advertising graphics and inscriptions. The verso is clean, showing just some foxing and water stains, quite irrelevant on the back side.
