Round wall-plaque with bas-relief profile of Stalin, late 1940s - early 50s.
Measures 5" across. Stalin's profile portrait, in brass, is an insert riveted to the brass frame on the verso. Produced at a State Mint, a limited edition, 50,000 of these plaques ever made.
In excellent condition. The porcelain is near-pristine, tiny scratches are visible only when you tilt the item to reflect a bright light. The brass frame shows a couple of microscopic dark spots, not very noticeable. The portrait shows minor wear at high points. Both the portrait and the frame have retained practically all of their original luster. The verso is wear-free, the original hanging
