Embroidered Hat Badge of a Ukrainian Police Officer, circa late 1990s - early 2000s.
The cockade measures approx. 71 x 66 mm. The wreath and stardust are embroidered in silver bullion thread. The edge is dark blue. The Ukrainian Trident national emblem is embroidered in gold bullion thread against sky-blue background.
The cockade is in excellent condition. It has been used, as evidenced by the needle holes visible in the fabric of the backing and a few remaining pieces of black thread there. The cockade is in excellent condition. It has been used, as evidenced by the needle holes visible in the fabric of the backing and a few remaining pieces of black thread there. Very light soiling of the silver bullion thread in the top part of the badge shows that its owner had done his fair share of outdoors duty. However, the wear is minimal and barely noticeable. The backing liner is intact and is firmly attached to the badge.
A very interesting item to add to any collection of historical law enforcement memorabilia or Ukrainian insignia.
