The issue's chief theme is "the Soviet people on guard duty of peace". However, the article about the 2nd World Congress for Peace (Warsaw, Nov. 1950) is followed by a story about Soviet soldiers battling and overcoming the hardships of combat training. The celebratory piece about 30 years of Soviet Power in Armenia is followed by a charming in its naivete verse about an evil Yankie spy amassing the US presence in Turkey, lusting after the natural resources of the Soviet Caucasus. The verse, naturally, ends with the Yankie spy defeated and rotting six feet under.

In good condition. The binding has been repaired with a strong twisted thread. All the pages are in place. The cover is a little frayed along the edges and at the corners but mostly along the fold line, not too detractive. There is a stain at the top, mostly at the spine but spreading along the top edge to about mid-page. Thankfully, it does not reach deep into the pages. The same accident left very superficial stains along the front edge towards the top of the magazine. Overall however, the magazine is quite presentable. The internal pages show minimal wear.

Please note that the pen in our photo is for size reference.
