The banner is in very good condition, far better than the typical "Stalin" flags that survived to our
days. There is only moderate wear to the portrait which is unavoidable with medium such as paint on silk; the portrait is nevertheless still very vivid and impressive, with most of its details fully intact. The lettering shows even less wear. The background silk is well preserved and bright, has only a few small scuffs and tears that do not detract in the least from the overall appearance of the banner. The fringe is all in place and has retained most of its original luster; the flagpole loops are mostly intact, showing minimal use wear.
