Large document enclosed in 6 1/4" x 8 3/4" red folder with gold lettering on the front cover. Shows an image of the badge in color and the citation from the Soviet government "for courage and military valor shown during the execution of international duty in the Republic of Afghanistan." At the bottom of the citation page are facsimile signatures of the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev and Secretary of the Presidium Menteshashvili. Also shows a typographically printed seal of the Supreme Soviet and the 20 December 1988 date of the award decree.

In excellent unissued condition. There is the usual warping to the red cover, otherwise mint.
