Commemorative Medal to a Participant of the Construction of the Maxim Gorky Bridge over the Daugava River in Riga, Latvian SSR, 1981.
In nickel-plated brass, enamel and lacquer; the medallion is 31.9 mm wide. The artwork shows a panorama of the city of Riga and the newly built suspension bridge over the Daugava River. The inscription is a mix of Latvian and Russian text: Bridge (named after) M. Gorky, Riga, 1981, Daugava". The enameled suspension shows the name of the organization that build the bridge, Mostootryad-17. Excellent condition.
