Naval Guards Flag, dated 1990.
In wool bunting; measures approx. 54" long by 34" wide (approx. 4.5' x 3'). The 1990 date of manufacture is stamped on the canvas hoist sleeve, along with the manufacturing standard code and the factory name.
The flag's design is the same as a regular naval ensign, but with a length of the black and orange Order of Glory ribbon, designating a Naval unit or vessel honored with the Guards title, printed above the blue margin. By 1990, the Soviet Navy had only a few Guards warships and units remaining on active duty. Therefore, Soviet Naval Guards flags are very scarce.

In very good to excellent condition. There is only a single tiny moth bite to the beige field on the far side, shown in our photo next to a quarter coin for size reference. Otherwise, the flag is completely clean and wear-free. It is completely free of active moth problem.
Please note that the 1-ft. ruler in our last photo is for size reference.
