Komsomol Searchlight, 1982-91 issue, early 1980s manufacture.

Aluminum, paint; measures about 20 mm in height. Pobeda Factory mark to the reverse. Shows VLKSM membership badge and a searchlight shining down (apparently to uncover all kinds of scum).

Excellent condition.

The Komsomol Searchlight committees were created to fight misconduct at workplaces and schools, from lack of political zeal to slackness in completing labor assignments. For college students, they could cause real trouble up to expulsion from the university!
