Voroshilov Marksman badge, OSOAVIAKhIM issue, 1st level, #653196, 1934 - 1941 issue.

In bronze-plated and silver-plated steel, 39.7 x 32.7 mm; weighs 7.2 g without the screw plate. This relatively uncommon variation is of two- piece construction: the bullseye target is a separate superimposed part. Features a red enamel of relatively light shade and very fine quality. The serial number is stamped on the reverse near the bottom. Note an interesting manufacturer's error in the number: its third digit stamped initially was a "4", apparently by mistake, and it was immediately corrected by over stamping it with a "3".

In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel is exceptionally well-preserved throughout and exhibits a very attractive luster. The details of the artwork are pristine and exceptionally crisp. The fragile original silver finish is extremely well-preserved on both sides of the badge. The screw post is of full or near full length, over 8 mm. The unmarked wing nut is of the period, fits the screw perfectly and is likely original to the badge.
