Afghanistan, Medal for Literacy, 2nd class, circa mid-1980s through 1992.
In nickel-plated brass and "cold" enamel; measures 37.0 mm in height incl. eyelet, 32.1 mm wide; weighs 16.8 g not including the suspension and connecting link.
Excellent condition. The silver finish and red enamel are perfect. The medal comes with a generic ribbon of the kind routinely used by Afghan medal recipients on all medals of communist period.
