Brass, enamels; the medallion measures 25.4 mm in height incl. eyelet x 22.8 mm in width; two-piece construction: the red plaque with gold wreath is a separate superimposed part. Overall height with suspension is approx. 34 mm. Raised mint mark "MMD" to the reverse of the medallion.
Very fine to excellent condition. The enamel is perfect with the exception of a tiny chip to the red enamel on the plaque between two of the letters, practically unnoticeable to the naked eye. The gilt finish is nicely preserved on the obverse; there is an attractive toning to the brass on the
