Booklet format, approx. 7" x 4", with hard leatherette cover having a very detailed impressed image of the KGB shield and sword emblem. There is also a nice image of the same badge in dark bronze on the first inside page. The citation reads that Samodurov is given official thanks by a decree of the Chairman of KGB of the USSR for faithful execution of his service duty during the XII World Youth Festival in Moscow. Thousands of foreigners attended the festival and the KGB was overworked vigilantly monitoring them and especially their contacts with Soviet citizens.

In excellent condition: minimal storage wear to the cover. The page with the KGB shield has minuscule bumps to the left edge, not very intrusive to the eye. The citation page is pristine.
