Special-Issue Government Postcard Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Ivanovo-Frankovsk Council of Workers' Deputies, founded during the 1905 Russian Revolution.
The size is continental standard 6" x 4", postally unused, published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation 450,000. The obverse features a colorful special edition government postal stamp with the dates of the anniversary of the Ivanovo-Frankovsk City Council of Workers' Deputies which was formed during the first Russian revolution of 1905. The artwork in the left pane of the obverse shows the monument to Fyodor Afanasyev, a Russian Bolshevik revolutionary and founder of the Council. The inscription on the red banner reads "Soviets of workers' deputies are the truly democratic organs of power!"
In excellent, near-mint condition.
