The medallion is in brass and white metal with silver plating and enamels; measures 54.5 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 50.2 mm in width; weighs 39.4 g not including the suspension and connecting link. Massive four-piece construction: the center medallion, greed enameled band, and red star are separate parts superimposed on the silver starburst. The medallion is of the late style, featuring flat reverse of the starburst rays. The suspension however is the early model in brass.

Excellent condition. The enamel, raised details of the bas-relief and finish are perfect. The old, likely original ribbon is clean and sound.
