Medal for Valiant Labor, Type 2 Variation 2, Sub-Variation with Rounded Eyelet, 1960s-1980s issue.
In silver and enamels; measures 39.1 mm in height incl. eyelet, 34.1 mm in width; weighs 22.5 g not including the suspension and connecting link.
Very fine condition. The enamel is perfect and shows an attractive luster. There are a few tiny dings and mild bumps to the raised edge on the obverse, mostly at approx. 5 o'clock position and none of them very detractive, no other noticeable wear. The raised lettering is pristine and crisp. There is an attractive even toning to silver on both sides.
Comes on an original suspension, an early single-layer model in brass. The old, probably original ribbon is nicely persevered and attractive. The connecting link has been cut but appears to be of the period.
