Small format measuring 4 ½" x 6 ¾", in burgundy oilcloth-wrapped hard cover with Stalin's portrait embossed top center and a facsimile of his signature under it, in gold. Published on Stalin's 70th birthday anniversary by the State Publishing House of Political Literature, circulation 50,000, extremely low by Soviet standards and especially considering the author. The title page has a handwritten notation with a library inventory number.

In very good to excellent condition, showing minimal wear to the oilcloth at the corners and head and foot of the spine. There is a small dark stain, possibly ink mark, to the high points of Stalin's bas-relief. The back cover shows minimal storage wear. The internal pages are pristine; the original woven bookmark tape is in place and intact, the silk retaining its original luster.
