Mechanical Wristwatch Luch, by Minsk Watch Factory, 1995.

In gold-plated round case measuring approx. 33 mm in diameter, with 18-mm lugs, stainless-steel caseback and gold-plated crown. The 12-hour dial is white with black Arabic numerals and indices and an intricate decorative centerpiece with the Order of Victory above the inscription "50 years of Victory." The crystal is acrylic. The caliber is Luch signature 1801.1.K1 with 16 jewels. The manufacturer's logo is stamped on the train bridge of the caliber.

In excellent condition. The gold plating of the case retains its original luster and shows virtually no scuffs or scratches visible to the naked eye. The crystal is free of scuffs. Tilting it to reflect a bright light reveals a few tiny scratches, practically invisible at a normal viewing angle. Mechanically, the watch is in superb condition. Our 24-hour test resulted in +1 minute.

The only timepiece-manufacturing factory in Belarus, the Minsk Watch Factory was ordered into existence by a decree of the Council of Ministers of Belorussian SSR in September 1953 in response to the fast-growing demand in timepieces on the domestic market. The first wristwatches came off the assembly line in 1955, the main brand being Luch ("Ray"). Among its current production lines are men's and women's wristwatches with mechanical and quartz movement, clocks for automobiles, alarm clocks, and limited-edition timepieces commemorating significant national dates and events.
