Paper booklet measuring 3 ¼" x 5". The front features, top to bottom, "Veterans' Council of the 75th Guards Stalingrad Assault Aviation Regiment", and "Certificate for the commemorative badge Veteran of the 75th Guards Stalingrad Assault Aviation Regiment. The left page inside shows the image of the badge under its full description. The certificate page bears the ink stamp of the Veterans Council of the 75th, and is hand-signed by its chairman and secretary.

In excellent condition, showing only very minor wear to the corners and edges.

The 75th participated in the defense of Moscow, and then, now on brand-new IL-2 assault bombers, they fought in the Battle of Stalingrad as part of the 8th Air Army. Then was Donbass, Crimea, Belorussia, Koenigsberg, Pillau, and finally, Rastenburg, East Prussia. The IL-2 they flew earned quite a few honorary nicknames given by Germans: airplane designers called them "the flying tanks", Luftwaffe pilots - "Betonflugzeug" (airplane made of concrete), while Wehrmacht soldiers' name for it was "Schwarzer Tod", i.e. "Black Death."
