Parachutist-Instructor badge, 100 jumps, 1968 type, circa late 1960s - early 70s issue.
Brass, enamels; 56.4 mm tall (not including the pendant), 26.1 mm wide. The numeral "100" and the airplane are separate parts held by wires. Note that central portions of the zeros are filled with blue enamel.
This is a distinctively early airborne badge, with nicer details and better overall quality than the later issues.
In very fine to excellent condition. The enamel is perfect and shows a beautiful luster. One of the loops for attaching the pendant with the number of additional jumps has a break (possibly a manufacturing flaw) but the connecting wire will stay attached to it if undisturbed. The screw post is of full length and includes an original screw plate maker-marked "Pobeda Factory, Moscow".
