Brass gilt, enamels, lacquer; 47.2 x 25.9 mm. Three-piece construction: the Soviet national emblem and the plaque with the wings and school's acronym КАИ ("KAI") are separate superimposed parts attached by rivets. The reverse shows the early-style raised logo "LMD" of the Leningrad Mint.

Excellent condition. The enamel, gold plating on the USSR emblem, and lacquer finish on the plaque with the school's name are perfect. The screw post is full length, nearly 8.5 mm measured from the retaining nut, and includes the original screw plate with the Leningrad mint logo.
