Poster Economic Growth of Georgian SSR, 1937.
Large format measuring 20 ¼" x 27", printed on thick sturdy cardboard-like paper. Published by the State Publishing House of Political Literature, circulation unknown. The circular diagrams under the state emblem of Georgian SSR depict the growth of industrial and agricultural output of the republic, compared to 1913. The header boasts that persistent realization of the Leninist-Stalinist national politics propelled Georgia from a semi-colonial backward nation to become one of the forward Soviet Socialist Republics of the great Union of SSR. The artwork is an offset print of a painting by Georgian artist I. Toidze depicting Stalin listening to a group of workers at the construction site of the Rioni Hydroelectric Power Plant.
In excellent condition. A few occasional wrinkles near the corners are not easy to notice and virtually disappear in the large format of the poster.
Please note that the 1-ft. ruler in our photo is for size reference.
