Badge of an Activist of the Communist Party or Trade Union Organization, Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry of the USSR, 1968 issue.

Aluminum, paint, lacquer; 25.8 x 18.7 mm. The artwork features the Nuclear Icebreaker Lenin making its way through the arctic ice. Incidentally, at the time when the badge was issued the Lenin was in dock awaiting a new powerplant to replace its original nuclear reactors that had failed and were beyond repair.

Excellent condition.
